This short monographic tretise is a synthesis and critical review of the present status of the taxonomi and bibliographic information concerning the amphibians of Argentina, following their wider and general tratise of 1980, and its first update in 1987, both carried out by one of the wuthors of this new updated work. A general list of the recognized and described Argentine taxa is followed by their detailed nomenclatural discussion, a bibliography, and a number of color plates of several new species.
