| Venom Week 2009 is the third in a series of international scientific symposia about all things venomous. The Venom Week Symposium brings together zoo and other animal care workers, basic scientists, clinicians, regulatory agencies, antivenom producers, and others with an interest in venomous animals. There will be sessions on marine animals, venomous snakebite management, zoo collections, venomous animal conservation, veterinary toxinology, regulatory issues, taxonomic controversies, spiders, scorpions, squamates, an update on coral snake antivenom (no longer being manufactured), a wilderness medicine session, posters, and more, all presented by an acclaimed national and international faculty. |
