Applied Herpetology is an international journal addressing research on amphibians and reptiles in relation to humans and therefore focussing on natural products development, farming, ethnobiology, biodiversity and environmental monitoring, conservation and wildlife management. A main objective of the journal is to enhance communication between academic scientists and researchers in industry, governmental bodies, international agencies and others involved in applied research involving herpetofauna.

La Asociación Herpetológica Española fue fundada el 7 de julio de 1984 en el Salón de Actos del Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales de Madrid. Según los estatutos vigentes, aprobados en diciembre de 1989, los objetivos y fines de la A.H.E. son de carácter no lucrativo y persiguen favorecer una estrecha colaboración entre los herpetólogos canalizada a través de congresos, reuniones, grupos de trabajo y edición de publicaciones. Promueve y coordina el estudio de la Herpetofauna, tanto teórico como práctico, así como la conservación de los anfibios y reptiles y de su entorno. Asesora, dirige y realiza estudios relacionados con la herpetología, tanto a nivel nacional como internacional.

The HAA is dedicated to the study and conservation of reptiles and amphibians, particularly those of Africa. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the herpetofauna of the world. Members receive African Journal of Herpetology (which publishes technical articles, short communications, commentaries, book reviews and meeting reports) and the newsletter African Herp News (which includes announcements, life history notes, geographical distribution, husbandry hints, etc).

The ISHBH aims to promote research related to historical herpetology. The Society is devoted to stimulating and advancing the study of the history of the herpetological discipline and its bibliography. We bring together individuals for whom the history and bibliography of herpetology are appealing. We promote the knowledge of these and related topics among members and the general public. The Society was established in Guelph, Canada in 1998. Membership is open to anyone who shares the aims of the Society.

7   Link   Societas Europaea Herpetologica
Societas Europaea Herpetologica has a Pan-European herpetological network which provides an exchange of information, and aims to bring together herpetologists (neo- and palaeo-) and regional societies, in order to develop closer collaboration between them. Membership is open worldwide to individuals and institutions interested in the study of amphibians and reptiles, and their conservation. The Society aims to strengthen co-operation by means of Ordinary General Meetings, held biennually in different European countries, and by participation in the network through provision of news and other information under News from regional societies (see below). In addition, the Society publishes the quarterly journal AMPHIBIA-REPTILIA (indexed in Current Contents), the online journal Herpetology Notes, conference proceedings and other works. The working language of the Society is English, but contributions of news items in French, German and Spanish are welcome.

Taprobanica, the Journal of South Asian Biodiversity publishes original research papers, taxonomic descriptions, notes, observations, essays, opinions and short communications. The journal’s geographic range extends to South Asia with special attention to Sri Lanka and Western Ghats biodiversity hotspot. We would like to provide space in equal parts to ecology, geology, biology, ethology, conservation breeding, conservation, evolution, morphology, physiology and systematics, but excludes techniques or sampling methods. All manuscripts must be written in English and submitted via email to the managing editor at aathasun@gmail.com.
